Access to information critical to fight crime
If you live in Nyanga, Delft or Khayelitsha on the Cape Peninsula, you have the highest likelihood of being assaulted in the country. You also have a high likelihood of being robbed in the street and women being sexually assaulted. On top of all of this, you may be exposed to people maliciously damaging government services, community facilities, retail outlets and your property. Citizens in South Africa have a right to access information on crime in their own police stations. Our portal provides easy access to numbers of crimes per police station. The dashboard graphs allow more detailed analysis of crime in the police station.
